World Health Organization to send to Moldova consignment of humanitarian aid for backing Ukrainian refugees

Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today met World Health Organization’s (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The PM thanked the WHO representatives for the significant contribution to the process of management of the humanitarian crisis. She noted that the first consignment of humanitarian assistance in a quantity of one ton of medicines and medical products was quite useful for the Ukrainian refugees.
„The cooperation with WHO remains important and solid. We want, in continuation, a productive cooperation, aimed at the long-term strengthening of the health system of Moldova,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.
At the meeting, Hans Kluge informed that the World Health Organization would continue backing the efforts of strengthening the medical system from Moldova, including through expertise, financial assistance and programmes of support of medical employees.
