Moldovan Environment ministry works out regulation of state cadastre of waters

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/ - The water resources of Moldova will be registered and monitored by information means, according to the European standards. The cabinet approved, to this end, the Regulation of the State Cadastre of Waters, created by the Automated Information System, elaborated by the Environment Ministry.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, information will be supplied on the information platform about the water resources on the entire territory of Moldova, as well as the rules of registration, updating and erasing of data on the water resources from Moldova.
Also, the state cadaster of waters will give access to information and systematized data about the following subjects: hydrographic network, water bodies, hydro-technical constructions, protection areas and belts, collections and discharges of water, water balance, basins’ management, etc. The data will be provided by Moldova’s Waters Agency, Environment Agency, Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources, State Hydrometeorological Service. The information could be accessed on the site www.csa.gov.md.
The regulation of the state cadaster of waters was created within the technical assistance project titled, Consolidation of the institutional framework in the water supply and sanitation from Moldova, with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
