Chisinau city hall sums up results of campaign of vaccination against COVID-19

Chisinau, 31 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau local authorities have suspended the activity of three projects on immunization of the Moldovan capital’s residents.
At a today’s ceremony on the summing up of the work of the municipal vaccination centre and of the mobile points, the head of the Chisinau Municipal Council’s (CMC) social assistance and health general department, Boris Galca, said that 70 per cent of the population has been immunized in Chisinau in all. ‘’Due to these projects, the local authorities vaccinated over 50 per cent of the city’s residents; cumulatively, we have reached the figure of 70 per cent of the city’s population necessary for the collective immunity, as we also had citizens who were immunized abroad,’’ Galca noted.
For his part, the Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, informed that 76,000 people had been vaccinated at the municipal vaccination centre on the Petru Rares Street and 44,000 people – at the two mobile vaccination points – trolley bus and bus.
According to the mayor, the overall cost of the city hall’s investments in the three projects on immunization of the capital’s residents amounts to 1 million 465,000 lei.
