Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration has meeting with Ambassador of Australia

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - Aspects on the Transnistria-related issues and developments of the regional situation have been discussed at an official meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian and Kiev-based Ambassador of Australia accredited to Moldova (temporarily relocated in Poland) Bruce Edwards, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.        

The Moldovan official reviewed the activities carried out within the format of talks on the Transnistrian settlement, Chisinau’s approaches on the subjects on the agenda of the negotiations and potential subsequent dynamics in this process.  

The sides paid special attention to the current regional context, the existing challenges and risks, as well as the concerned measures in the focus of the national authorities, who have to manage diverse crisis situations (energy, economic, humanitarian, etc.) and provide solid assistance to the refugees from Ukraine, who temporarily accommodated in Moldova.   

Oleg Serebrian offered thanks to the Australian authorities for the constant support of Moldova’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and of the messages promoted in diverse platforms of international dialogue, including at the United Nations General Assembly.
