About 15,000 patients called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, April 5 / MOLDPRES /- Over the past week, emergency medical teams have provided first aid to 14,960 people.
According to the data of the National Center for Prehospital Emergency Medical Assistance / CNAMUP /, the medical assistance teams intervened in 3,262 patients with cardiovascular diseases, 2,526 with respiratory diseases; 2,045 with neurological pathologies and 1,287 traumatic emergencies.
During the week, ambulance doctors operated on 228 patients with strokes and 56 patients with myocardial infarction. Urgent care teams provided medical care to 258 patients with infectious emergencies, 45 with burns and 58 with intoxication, including 28 with medication and six with alcohol.
During the reporting period, the ambulance was also asked to intervene in 42 road accidents, produced on the country's routes, as a result of which 58 people suffered, including 11 children. Subsequently, depending on the condition of the patients, they were transported to the hospital.
