Moldovan, Canadian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of the international conference in Berlin dedicated to the Support Platform for the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, had a meeting with Head of Canadian diplomacy Mélanie Joly, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The officials approached the new security context in the region, the way in which the Republic of Moldova manages the flow of refugees generated by the war in Ukraine, as well as the practical ways to support our country, including ensuring social and economic humanitarian stability.

"We thank our Canadian partners for supporting the reform and modernization of our country throughout Europe," said Popescu.

At the same time, the sides expressed their desire to strengthen the Moldovan-Canadian bilateral dialogue in various areas of mutual interest.
