Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Nineteen companies from Moldova this year participate in the biggest European exhibition, organized in Berlin, dedicated to fresh food products – Fruit Logistica 2022. Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita visited the country stand, Moldova, a Special Taste, and discussed with native producers and exporters of fruits, who brought together here to present Moldova and establish new business contacts, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„It is very important that Moldova participates in such exhibitions, in order to promote our products, which are quite qualitative and to find new sales markets. This is a platform, on which connection between all links of the value chain is made, from production up to the end consumer, which gives us excellent possibility to widely promote our supply and establish commercial relations with as many countries as possible,’’ the prime minister said.
The participants in the exhibition highlighted that, year after year, the stands of Moldova became better and better and the producers – more and more prepared. ‘’The Europeans appreciate the quality of the Moldovan products. I have noticed a great openness for our products; thus, we find more and more favourable contacts, new partners. We are happy that the government also becomes a reliable partner for the producers from Moldova,’’ said a participant in the exhibition, specialized in the production of stone fruits.
In the context, the PM stressed that the cabinet undertook concrete actions – measures of protection of farmers and producers have been recently launched and the subsidization fund was increased. At the same time, decision-makers work to liberalize the transport, negotiate the removal of the quotas of export of agricultural production to EU, as well as the organization of green corridors to new markets.
„We expect the authorities to help us in terms of logistics, as well as concerning the negotiations with the governments of other countries. For our part, we will work on the quality of products,’’ an apple producer said.
The Fruit Logistica International Exhibition is staged in Berlin on 9-11 2022.
