Moldovan electoral body sets up ten first-level electoral councils

Chisinau, 18 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today set up ten constituency electoral councils of the first level in the settlements where new local elections are to be held on 29 May.  
 
Under the electoral legislation, during three days, the electoral councils are to elect, by secret vote, the head, deputy head and the secretary from among their members.   

At the same time, the councils are to make public the information on the place, date and time of reception of the documents for the registration of candidates for the office of mayor  and local councilors in the local councils (as case may be) 24 hours before the starting of the reception of the documents from the candidates.   

New local polls will take place in ten settlements on Moldova on 29 May 2022.
