IGSU launched fire prevention campaign on eve of Easter holidays

Chisinau, April 19 / MOLDPRES /- The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations / IGSU / today launched a campaign to prevent fires and risk situations during Easter holidays.
During the campaign, IGSU employees will come with recommendations and warnings to those in charge of places of worship, who are asked to follow the fire rules, especially on the night of Resurrection.
Firefighters also warn about the operation of stoves and chimneys, arranging special places for candles, but also maximum caution when using open fire.
Also, the specialists warn that places of worship should be equipped with fire extinguishers and that access roads for emergency vehicles should be kept clear. At the same time, in order to prevent fires, it is forbidden to overload the electrical circuits by connecting more consumers than those provided for the respective installation.
At the same time, the people in charge of the places of worship must display in visible places the evacuation schemes with the indication “In case of emergency, call 112”.
The prevention activities within the campaign carried out by IGSU on the eve of the Easter holidays are to be carried out in all places of worship in the Republic of Moldova.
According to IGSU data, previously, the employees of the institution arrived with recommendations in 1492 places of worship, being trained 1892 by servants and handed 2984 warnings.
