Moldova's Presidency hosts temporary art exhibition

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s Presidency hosts a string of paintings carried out within a project titled, Мій Дім Україна/Casa mea Ucraina (My Home Ukraine), by children from families of Ukrainian refugees, the presidential press service has reported.
The exhibition at the headquarters of the Presidency contains only some of the paintings made by about 100 children refugees from various cities of Ukraine – Odessa, Kiev, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Irpeni, Belgorod-Dnestrovsk, Zaporizhia, etc.
The paintings were made at creation workshops, at an initiative by a multimedia artist, painter Valeria Barbas. The workshops’ goal was to provide psychological and creative support to the children refugees from Ukraine, by using art-therapy practices, such as painting, drawing and music.
The paintings exhibited at the ground floor of the building will be able to be admired by guests of the Presidency and employees of the presidential administration. The institution’s doors are opened for all those willing to see the paintings till 6 May 2022, starting from Monday till Friday, in the time interval 17:00-19:00 and during 12:00-15:00 on Sundays.
By inaugurating this temporary art exhibition, the presidential institution reconfirms its solidarity and gratitude to Moldovan citizens’ efforts to give a helping hand to the refugees from Ukraine.
