Three more categories of producers to get compensation for gas consumption

Chisinau, April 29 / MOLDPRES /- The list of non-household beneficiaries of gas offsets has been expanded with three more categories of economic activities.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the deadline for submitting applications from non-household consumers has been extended until May 13. The decision was approved yesterday by the Committee on Emergncies (CSE).
„In addition, in the list of beneficiaries, in the 17 categories that are part of the Classifier of Activities in the Economy of Moldova (CAEM), the following fields were included: manufacture of bakery products and flour products (C1072); manufacture of other food products (C1082); manufacture of articles of paper and paperboard (C1721) ”, the Ministry of Economy said.
Non-household consumers who purchase from natural gas suppliers, operate in the areas specified in the CSE decision and whose payments for natural gas (excluding VAT), consumed monthly, represent at least 5% of the monthly sales volume are eligible for compensation.
The compensation will be 100% of the difference due to the increase of the regulated prices for the supply of natural gas, but not more than 1.5 million lei per consumer and will be offered for the period January-March 2022. “The compensation for the first 500 m3 consumed per month for which the compensation was made according to Instruction No3 of 1 February 2022 of the CSE ”, said the quoted source.
