Moldovan families hosting refugees can be be registered to receive financial assistance till 7 May

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - The World Food Programme (WFP) or the United Nations Organization encourages the families from Moldova which host refugees to continue to be registered till 7 May, in order to receive financial assistance.
To be registered for getting the aid, families from Chisinau can use the online registration portal (UAHelp), where both the host family head and the refugee (refugees) should be registered, by using the same code received at the online registration.
In other districts of Moldova, the families can continue the registration in person at the local councils (mayoralties) till the deadline – 7 May.
According to the World Food Programme or the United Nations Organization, over 8,200 people have asked for registration so far, of whom 6,700 were confirmed. More than 6,200 households have already received the money transfers and the rest are processed and will be used on the next several days.
The programme of financial assistance, part of the WFP humanitarian response in Moldova, was launched on 25 March 2022, in cooperation with the Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the UN Refugee Agency (Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees).
Official statistics shows that Moldova hosts more than 93,000 refugees from Ukraine.
