Moldovans who worked in Switzerland might benefit from pensions

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan citizens who worked in Switzerland might benefit from pension. They might also receive social benefits, if a labour accident occurs or in case a professional disease. An agreement to this effect is to be signed between Moldova and the Swiss Confederation.
At the today’s meeting, the members of the parliament’s commission for foreign policy and European integration gave a positive note to the starting of negotiations to this end.
The agreement’s goal is to ensure a framework of guarantees of social security for the migrant workers from Moldova who worked or live in Switzerland.
The draft stipulates the providing of old age pensions, pensions of disability caused by general diseases, disability pensions and allowances in the wake of labour accidents or triggered by professional diseases and survivor’s pensions.
According to statistics data, presently, about 7,000 Moldovans are in Switzerland.
