Moldovan speaker commemorated those who fell in World War II

Chisinau, May 9 / MOLDPRES /- Speaker Igor Grosu, together with Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, and other MPs laid flowers on the morning of May 9 at the Eternitate Memorial Complex in the capital.
"Today we are here to commemorate and pay tribute to our grandparents, to those who fought, sacrificed, paid with their lives for us to live in peace," said Igor Grosu.
"Unfortunately, humanity has not learned the lesson of World War II - we all know about the unjust war that is taking place in Ukraine. I really want politicians, those who make decisions to think once more about our grandparents, those who fought, those who sacrificed their dreams, those close to us to live in peace today ", he said after the flower-laying ceremony.
Also today, the official visited Serghei Pavlicenco, a veteran of the World War II, from Olănești village, Ștefan Vodă district, whom he thanked for patriotism and courage, devotion and dedication.
