Head of State awarded High Patronage for two projects carried out by Moldova, Romania

Chisinau, May 9 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu awarded on the occasion of Europe Day, marked today, High Patronage for two Moldovan-Romanian cultural projects that will take place in Chisinau in 2022. These are the International Book Fair Bookfest and the Reunion of Romanian National Theaters. The High Patronage is granted jointly with President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, the presidential press service has reported.

Organized by the Romanian Publishers Association in partnership with the State University of Moldova, the International Book Fair Bookfest will be held from August 31 to September 4. The seventh edition of the Reunion of the Romanian National Theaters will take place between September 15-25, under the auspices of the Mihai Eminescu National Theater in Chisinau, with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Cultural Institute. Both events mark the cultural, linguistic and historical communion between the two states, as well as the European aspirations that bind our countries.
