Zdob și Zdub band, Advahov Brothers might get title of honorary citizen of Iasi city of Romania

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Zdob și Zdub band and Advahov Brothers might receive the title of honorary citizen of the Iasi county, Romania. The head of the Iasi County Council, Costel Alexe, today made statements to this effect on a social network.

According to Costel Alexei, a draft decision to this end will be subjected to approval at an ordinary meeting on 25 May 2022.

„The Eurovision is about the European unity, solidarity and compassion between countries and between people. I suggested that we award the title of honorary citizen to the bands Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers, who represented Moldova at Eurovision, with the song, Trenulețul (The Small Train),’’ the head of the Iasi County Council said.

The band Zdob şi Zdub Advahov Brothers managed to rank seventh at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, with 253 points. The jury gave 14 points to Moldova in all. The Moldovan artists received 239 points on behalf of the audience.
