Moldova to borrow 20 million euros from Poland

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today ratified the agreement on loan worth 20 million euros between Moldova and Poland for financing the state budget’s needs.
The money will be provided by Poland, in order to finance the needs of the state budget, including for the management of the flow of refugees from Ukraine. The loan is to be disbursed in a single installment, in a period of three months after the date of the agreement’s entrance into force.
The repayment will also be made in a single installment; the loan’s maturity will be of 20 years. The interest rate is 0.01 per cent annually and will be paid in 20 years.
The agreement on loan between the governments of Moldova and Poland was signed by the two prime ministers in Warsaw on 8 April 2022.
