Moldovan president, Georgian head of state discuss by phone

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili today discussed the current security developments in Moldova and the region during a phone conversation.

According to the presidential press service, the dialogue was focused on the security risks entailed by the war waged by Russia in Ukraine, as well as on the humanitarian efforts made to help the refugees form the neighbor country.

The officials also referred to opportunities of extending the bilateral cooperation between Moldova and Georgia. In the end of the discussion, President Maia Sandu conveyed a congratulatory message to Georgia’s citizens on the Independence Day, marked on 26 May.
