Authorities made decisions on security of oil supply

Chisinau, June 1 / MOLDPRES /- Security of oil supply to consumers was the main topic discussed yesterday at a meeting of representatives of the National Agency for Energy Regulation, Moldova Railway, oil companies, Giurgiulesti International Port and Customs Service, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
"The Moldovan Railway is in consultation with the Ukrainian side to expand the transit capacity of goods and to delegate from the fleet Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railway) locomotives, as well as teams of locomotive drivers, to ensure transportation in transit, import and export of increased volume of goods. We do the same with CFR Marfă. Through the port of Giurgiulesti, we requested that the import operations of fuels destined for the internal market be prioritized ", said Andrei Spinu.
According to the official, the use and capitalization of the other border points that, for the moment, have less traffic was highlighted and recommended: PTF Sculeni-Sculeni and PTF Giurgiulești-Galați.
"We have agreed to have a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania, Sorin Grindeanu, and the Secretary of State Irinel Ionel Scriosteanu, where we can discuss the measures we need to take to streamline freight transport at the border, as well as plans for the development of the mobility strategy and the process of liberalization of road freight transport between the European Union, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine ", concluded the Deputy Prime Minister.
