Chisinau, June 1 / MOLDPRES /- For 2 June the following maximum retail prices of the main oil products of the standard type were established: COR 95 petrol - 31.62 lei / liter (+0.17 lei); diesel - 27.89 lei / liter (+0.28 lei), the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has reported.
The agency explained that the decision of the European Union to give up about 90% of Russian oil imports by the end of this year, generates a new wave of growth in international quotations. "The reaction of the market to the recent decision of the European Union to give up oil imports from the Russian Federation caused the price of a barrel of oil to rise above yesterday's level of $ 123, and consequently Platts quotations for petroleum products reach the level of 1378 dollars / ton of gasoline and 1243 dollars / ton of diesel ”, according to ANRE.
Given that the Republic of Moldova imports all petroleum products, and fuel prices are directly related to the evolution of international quotations, these developments are directly reflected in the oil sector in our country. "Most of the imports to the Republic of Moldova are made from Romania, a country that provides about 70% of the oil needs of the three refineries also imported, which partly came from the Russian Federation. Respectively, in the conditions of the war in Ukraine, the traditional logistics chains change, generating a significant increase in the cost of deliveries through the Black Sea ", states ANRE.
