Call for applications for rural subsidy launched

Chisinau, June 2 / MOLDPRES /- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry launched yesterday the call for applications for the grant application in advance to improve the standard of living and work in rural areas. From 1 June to 23 August 2022, the Agricultural Intervention and Payment Agency (AIPA) will receive applications for the grant in advance for the next three support measures.

The measures provide for the improvement and development of rural economic infrastructure; rural development; diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities.

"Eligible for obtaining grants in advance are: first-level administrative-territorial units (villages and communes, including towns with a population of up to 10,000 inhabitants with resident status, according to the latest population and housing census) for measures 1 and 2 and legal or natural persons registered in rural localities who create or develop non-agricultural activities for measure 3 ”, MAIA said.

The maximum amount of subsidy granted for measures 1 and 2 is 80% for an eligible project of up to three million lei (over 150 thousand euros), and for measure 3 is 50% for an eligible project of up to one million lei.

The application files for the subsidy in advance will be submitted by the mayor - for measures No1, 2 and by the administrator / legal representative - for measure No3, at the territorial section / service of AIPA in the area where the applicant has its legal headquarters and in which it will make the investment.
