Moldovan electoral body presented 2021 report on financing political parties, electoral campaigns

Chisinau, June 3 / MOLDPRES /- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has presented the 2021 Report on financing political parties and election campaigns.
According to the CEC, the document covers aspects of political party funding in 2021, with a focus on state budget grants allocated over the past year, the process of submitting, receiving, publishing and verifying half-yearly and annual financial management reports, and initiating the contravention process when presenting the reports on the financial management of the parties for the reference period.
The report also reveals the process of financing the election campaigns organized during 2021: the parliamentary elections of July 11 and the new local elections of November 21.
A special chapter is dedicated to the activity related to the financing of political parties and electoral campaigns: training of treasurers, development and improvement of SSI "Financial Control", modification and adjustment of the normative framework, collaboration with public authorities in the context of financing political parties and electoral campaigns. contraventions examined by the court in 2021.
