Moldovan deputy premier on visit to Paris

Chisinau, June 9 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration pays a visit to Paris, France on June 9-10. The official will promote the application for membership of the European Union, proactive economic diplomacy aimed at attracting investment and communication with our diaspora in France.
According to the MAEIE press service, Popescu will attend today an annual conference of the Institute for Security Studies of the European Union, organized with the support of the French Presidency of the EU Council, with the participation of European Foreign Minister Josep Borrell and French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna. The Moldovan official will deliver a speech, talking about the most important peace project on the continent - the European Union and how our country can become a pole of stability with EU support.
The official will also discuss with the head of French diplomacy, Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and senior French officials in the Senate about the comprehensive Moldovan-French dialogue aimed at modernizing our country.
At the same time, Moldova's determination to be part of the European family will be the subject of meetings with the Moldovan diaspora, businessmen, journalists, academia and analytical centers, including at the French Institute for International Relations.
