Over 8 million lei seized by Customs Service in several criminal cases

Chisinau, June 16 / MOLDPRES /- Over 8 million lei (400 thousand euros) have been seized by Customs Service officers in several criminal cases under management.

According to the institution, the officers of the Anti-Fraud and Compliance Department of the Customs Service, under the leadership of prosecutors, following the criminal prosecution actions, managed to make unavailable including 13 thousand US dollars and 2 thousand euros, money from criminal actions.

Also, in the same criminal cases, were seized: a kilogram of gold and a means of transport such as a truck, the value of which amounts to over 30 thousand euros.

The over 8 million lei were transferred to the management of the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets within the National Anticorruption Center, and the amount of 13 thousand US dollars and 2 thousand euros are to be transferred.

At the same time, the capture of gold and the means of transport are to be directed to the management of the State Fiscal Service.
