Chisinau, June 16 / MOLDPRES /- The authorities attest to a fluidization of the traffic at the Moldovan-Romanian customs posts. At most checkpoints there are no queues of trucks waiting to be processed.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at around 11:00, at the Leușeni crossing point, there are no trucks in line for processing, only the resting drivers are parked. At the Cahul-Oancea station there are 3 trucks waiting, at Giurgiulești-Galați - 8 trucks and at Giurgiulești-Reni - 10 trucks.
At the same time, there are 90 trucks at the Costești crossing point, the large number is due to the fact that the bridge limits the maximum capacity to 9.5 tons and the representatives of the Romanian Food Safety Agency are missing. Also, there are 120 trucks in Sculeni, the large number would be due to the unforeseen infrastructure - the narrow corridors for the processing carried out by the freight section in Romania.
The Moldovan-Romanian authorities have had several discussions to establish a series of actions aimed at streamlining cross-border traffic. The dialogue resulted in the implementation of an action plan, which is currently being implemented at the Moldovan-Romanian border crossings. It provides for the synchronization of actions between the authorities of the two countries, which has reduced the waiting time for trucks with goods three times.
