Simple motion against Moldovan agriculture minister turned down

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today turned down a simple motion against Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Viorel Gherciu.

Following a speech by Minister Gherciu, discussions and speeches of parliamentary factions’ representatives, most MPs spoke out against the motion.

The simple motion was initiated by MPs of the parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists on 2 June 2022. Under the parliament’s regulation, the discussion of a simple motion at the parliament’s plenary meeting takes place on the date set by the standing bureau on a period of 14 working days after its submission. The simple motions are adopted with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers present at the meeting.
