Moldova to benefit from grant worth one billion Japanese yen to buy medical devices

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will benefit from a grant worth one billion Japanese yen for the purchasing of modern medical devices in five medical and sanitary institutions from the country.
According to the parliament’s press service, the commission for foreign policy and European integration approved the notification on the starting of negotiations and approval of the signing of the Agreement, concluded between the governments of Moldova and Japan.
The financial means will be used to cover the urgent needs of the health system, respectively, the strengthening of the capacities of the hospital sector of diagnosis and treatment.
Those five public medical and sanitary institutions are: the Emergency Medicine Institute, Timofei Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital, Mother and Child Institute, Oncological Institute and the Holy Trinity Municipal Clinical Hospital.
The needs of the medical institutions were assessed by a team of experts from Japan, who established the list of priority medical devices, earlier agreed upon by the Health Ministry.
