Moldovan president handed diplomas of honor to Olympic students

Chisinau, 4 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu today met at the Presidency with the students who obtained silver, bronze medals and honorable mentions at the International Olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. The head of state wished success to the young people and handed them each an honorary diploma, the presidential press service has reported.
"I congratulated them for their outstanding results, wished them success and told them that we are counting on their talent and work to raise a new generation of professionals in Moldova, who will contribute to the development of the country and help us respond more efficiently to the challenges of today and future", said Maia Sandu.
As a sign of appreciation for work, talent and tenacity, but also for promoting the image of our country in the world, Maia Sandu handed the Olympic students a Diploma of Honor each.
"I thank them once again for their energy and optimism, and I encourage them not to give in to difficulties. I also congratulate the teachers and parents, because they knew how to discover and capitalize on the talents of these young people, and to provide them with the quality guidance that they had. And, wherever their paths will lead in the future, we are waiting for them at home to build together the modern Moldova that we all want", concluded the head of state.
