Leova, Ştefan Voda cities to work out urban revitalization programs

Chisinau, Aug. 5 /MOLDPRES/- Leova and Ștefan Vodă cities are to work out urban revitalization Programs with the support of Poland, after they were selected in a competition held in July by the development partners.

In the context of the implementation by the South Regional Development Agency (ADR) of the project "Support to the cities of the South Development Region regarding the effective implementation of national public policies in the field of urban development", financed from the Regional Grants Fund for urban development of the Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova, the Competition was held regarding the granting of technical support to the cities of the Southern Development Region in the development of Urban Revitalization Programs.

"Following the evaluation of the Requests for Expression of Interest received by the agency, the Evaluation Commission, objectively and transparently, decided to designate the cities of Leova and Ștefan Vodă as winners of the Competition", indicates ADR Sud.

During the next three months, the mentioned cities will benefit from the support of the facilitators contracted by ADR Sud in order to successfully develop the Urban Revitalization Program of the locality, in accordance with the national methodological provisions: Guidelines on urban revitalization and Guide on urban revitalization for cities from Moldova.
