Moldovan electoral body approved program for organizing new local elections

Chisinau, Aug. 5 /MOLDPRES/- The calendar program for organization and conduct of the new local elections on October 16, 2022 has been approved by the Central Electoral Commission.
The document establishes the actions to be undertaken for the organization of new local elections, the deadlines for their realization, as well as those responsible for each action, starting from the competences of the main subjects involved in the electoral process. It is to be transmitted, for information and implementation, within the limits of competence, to political parties, local public authorities, as well as electoral bodies, after their establishment.
Thus, the electoral period for the new local elections begins on August 8, 2022.
On October 16, 2022, new local elections will be held in three localities in the country: Sălcuta village, Căușeni district; Ialpujeni commune, Cimișlia district and Braniște commune, Râscani district.
