Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan yesterday presented the activity report for one year of mandate. The official spoke about the legislative initiatives and achievements in the three areas of activity: Arts and creative industries, Cultural heritage and Tourism.
According to the management of the institution, among the most important achievements is the legislative initiative to grant cultural vouchers for young people. "The money, 1000 lei, will reach the government account of the young people when they turn 18, and through an application, which is now being developed, they will be able to access from the list of services and cultural products: books, tickets at shows or exhibitions. At the same time, we managed to obtain funding for the production of new theatrical and concert performances and to bring the Regulation on the publication of the national book in order. Also, we legalized the presence of Houses of Culture in the amended Culture Law. In the near future, we propose to review the salary mechanism for people of culture", said Prodan.
The ministry also proposes to reorganize the Register of State-protected monuments to be public, digitized and with updated addresses. "The Strategy for the development of the tourism sector until the year 2030 is being developed, which will create a synergy between art, heritage and tourist services. Thus, we will establish a National Office of Tourism and Creative Industries, which will bring home the experience and good international practices in the field", said Sergiu Prodan.
Also, the official emphasized that in September, an international competition for reconstruction projects of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic will be launched.
