Over 17 thousand people asked for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- Last week, emergency medical assistance teams provided first medical aid to 17,339 people, including 2,934 children.
According to the National Center for Emergency Medical Care (CNAMUP), after providing emergency medical care, 6,419 patients, including 1,463 children, were transported to hospital institutions in the country.
Thus, out of the total number of registered requests, those caused by respiratory diseases predominate - 4816 patients, followed by cardiovascular emergencies - 2600 requests.
Emergency medical assistance teams intervened in 56 patients with myocardial infarction and 91 people, including 19 children, who suffered various traumas following road accidents on the country's roads.
In the last days, the ambulance was requested by 195 patients with infectious emergencies, 66 toxic emergencies, of which 32 were drug poisonings; 48 cases of insect bites or stings and 29 emergencies due to combustion.
