Chisinau, August 10 /MOLDPRES/- Employees of the municipal services intervened during this night to liquidate the consequences of heavyl rain in the capital.

According to the Chisinau city hall, the teams from Spații Verzi, Exdrupo, Apă-Canal Chisinau and other employees of the capital city hall came on the spot.

Following the rain and strong wind, trees were felled in several sectors of the city. At the same time, the streets were flooded, the roofs of the houses were blown off by the strong wind, and the electric cables were broken, which caused electrical disconnections.

Also, due to heavy rains, some trolleybus routes ran with delays or stopped.

Following heavy rainfall in the capital, several road accidents occurred.

The municipal authorities announced that the actions to liquidate the consequences of the torrential rain will continue throughout the day today. The workers are to intervene in all sectors of the capital.

According to meteorologists, heavy rains were also recorded in other districts of the country. District emergency commissions are to assess the damage caused by rainfall and strong wind.
