Moldovan president meets group of young people doing internship in state institutions

Chisinau, August 12 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu met today on International Youth Day 47 young people who are doing this summer an internship at the Presidency, Government and other public authorities. The head of state discussed with the interns several topics related to the present and the future of the country, the presidential press service has reported.

"We asked them about their experience of working in these institutions, how they see the improvement of the quality of public institutions and how we can attract more young people to the public service. We also talked about what democracy means to them and how young people can get more involved in explaining and promoting democratic values", stated Maia Sandu.

At the same time, on the occasion of International Youth Day, Maia Sandu had a more special message for those present at the discussion. "Dear young people, today we celebrate the creativity, idealism and promise of your generation. With effort and perseverance, you can become good professionals. We celebrate your voice, your place in society and count on your involvement in solving community and country problems, global challenges". According to the head of state, the decisions and actions of today will determine the world of tomorrow, therefore, it is important that the young people are actively involved in these processes now.
