Today - last day to submit applications for partial diesel excise duty compensation

Chisinau, August 15 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) has warned that today is the last day to submit requests for partial compensation of the diesel excise duty invoiced until June 30, 2022.

"We inform farmers that today is the last day to submit requests for partial compensation of the excise duty on diesel invoiced until June 30, 2022. Until now, the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture has received 1834 requests for granting compensation of the excise duty on diesel", indicates MAIA.

The regulation stipulates that excise duties on diesel fuel are compensated: 1) in the amount of 100% of the quota established for the year 2022 or 2,980 lei per ton – for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises; 2) in the amount of 30% of the quota established for the year 2022 or 894 lei per ton – for other categories of enterprises; 3) in the amount of 100% of the quota established for the year 2022 or 2,980 lei per ton - for enterprises in the livestock sector.

The cycle of receiving applications for the second semester provides for the period July 1 - November 15.
