About 864 million lei planned for compensated medicines in 2022 - CNAM says

Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- This year, almost 864 million lei /over 44 million euros/ have been planned for compensated medicines and medical devices, and about 381 million lei have already been spent, according to the National Medical Insurance Company /CNAM/.
In the first half of this year, more than 595 thousand people benefited from medicines compensated from the mandatory medical assistance insurance funds, an increase of almost 29 thousand compared to the same period last year. Most of them, about 391 thousand, received compensated medicines for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, and around 99 thousand – antidiabetic preparations.
For the compensation of medicines in the first half of the year, CNAM allocated around 381 million lei, over 67 million more compared to the amount transferred in the first half of last year.
During the same period, about 2.7 million prescriptions were prescribed and paid, with over 237 thousand more than the similar period in 2021.
