Yellow code of atmospheric instability maintained in Moldova

Chisinau, Aug. 17 /MOLDPRES/- The State Hydrometeorological Service announced a Yellow Code for atmospheric instability for today as well.

According to meteorologists, on August 17, electrical discharges are expected, isolated heavy rains (15-45 l/m2) accompanied by gusts of up to 15-20 meters per second and hail.

In the following days, up to 32 degrees Celsius will be recorded during the day, and up to 20 degrees at night.

In the event of a Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecasted meteorological phenomena (rains, electrical discharges, wind intensifications, high or low temperatures, risk of increased flows and levels in rivers and streams, etc.) are common for the territory of the country, but they can temporarily become dangerous for certain socio-economic activities.
