Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration had meeting with Ambassador of Great Britain

Chisinau, August 18 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian had a working meeting today with Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Steven Fisher, the Reintegration Policy Office has reported.

The discussions focused on the latest developments in the negotiation formats for the Transnistrian settlement and on topics of common interest regarding regional security.

Serebrian reviewed the results of the recent meeting held online at the level of chief negotiators from Chisinau and Tiraspol, reporting the dynamics of the activity of the sectoral working groups, the government's priorities in the field of ensuring respect for human rights, including in the educational sphere, health, regarding access to agricultural land and free movement in the Security Zone.

They examined a lot of initiatives, which would contribute to the development of dialogue on elements related to the Transnistrian issue and to the promotion of confidence-building measures between the two banks of the Dniester.
