Over 40 modular platforms for waste collection to be set up in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, August 19 /MOLDPRES/- More than 40 modular platforms for the collection of household waste will be set up in the sectors of the capital. The tenants of over 60 housing blocks will benefit from these.

According to the Chisinau City Hall, the platforms are of three types: from two containers, from three and from four containers. Dump platforms will be made of metal. On the top of the case there will be the inscription "recyclable waste" and "biodegradable waste".

At the same time, land leveling/compaction work and the laying of a crushed stone foundation layer are to be carried out. The space where the containers are to be placed will be paved and closed.

The economic agent that will execute the works was selected on a competitive basis. The amount invested for the purchase and installation of the platforms is over 4.3 million lei (approximately 215 thousand euros).

Last year, 55 modular platforms for the collection of household waste were installed for 58 housing blocks.
