Chisinau, August 19 /MOLDPRES/- The legislative changes regarding the establishment of the fiscal monopoly mechanism and the creation of the National Commission for Fiscal Monopoly were published today in the Official Journal of the Republic of Moldova.
According to the document, the tax monopoly status will give companies or groups of companies from the Republic of Moldova the right to exclusively carry out an economic activity related to certain goods or services, in order to obtain revenues for the state. It will be assigned only to the legal entity with full or majority state capital.
At the same time, the legislative amendments provide for the creation of the National Commission for Fiscal Monopoly, which will establish the need to establish a fiscal monopoly for certain economic activities. Thus, the commission, based on an analysis and public consultations, will identify the enterprise or group of enterprises for the assignment of fiscal monopoly status. The commission will be made up of five members: one representative each from the Ministry of Finance (chairman of the Commission), the Ministry of Economy, the Competition Council and two representatives of civil society in the economic field.
In order to obtain the state monopoly status, the enterprise must have technical capabilities, equipment and apply high-performance technologies to carry out the respective economic activity.
Also in today's edition of the Official Journal, the presidential decree promulgating the legislative changes was published.
