Prosecutors conduct searches at PSRM accountant

Chisinau, August 20 /MOLDPRES/- Prosecutors are conducting today searches at the home of the accountant of the Party of Socialists from the Republic of Moldova (PSRM).

According to the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, the person is accused of complicity, together with the former head of state and other persons, in accepting the financing of the PSRM from the criminal group created and led by the former leader of the Democrats Vladimir Plahotniuc. At the same time, the accountant is suspected of falsifying the party's financial management reports for the years 2018 and 2019, falsifying official documents and money laundering.

The anti-corruption prosecutors will return with details after the searches are completed.
