Moldovan speaker's message on Independence Day

Chisinau, August 27 /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu together with President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița participated this morning in events dedicated to Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.
The officials laid flowers at Grieving Mother Monument of the Eternity Memorial Complex and at the Stefan cel Mare Monument. Later, they participated in the festive ceremony on Independence Day, which was held in the Great National Assembly Square.
In his message, Grosu said: "Moldova, I wish you to live in freedom, because Moldovans have a free spirit. In peace, because we are good and peaceful people. In dignity, because we come from a dignified race. In welfare, because Moldovans are worthy and deserve a good life at home".
MPs of all parliamentary factions participate in events held in localities throughout the country on the 31st anniversary of the proclamation of the Independence of the Republic of Moldova.
