Moldovan electoral body set up electoral constituencies for new local elections

Chisinau, August 30 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) set up today first-level electoral constituencies in three localities in the country, where new local elections will be held on 16 October.
According to the CEC, for the election of mayors, the first level electoral constituencies were set up as follows: Salcuta electoral constituency No10/20, Causeni district; Ialpujeni electoral constituency No11/11 and Braniște electoral constituency No27/6.
Under legal provisions, the borders of electoral constituencies correspond to the borders of administrative-territorial units.
On 16 October new local elections will be held in three localities in the country: Sălcuta village, Căușeni district; Ialpujeni, Cimișlia district, and Braniște, Râscani district.
