About 6,000 cases of COVID-19 registered last week

Chisinau, August 30 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health announced that, on August 22-28, 5,964 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were registered in the country, down by 1,928 cases than the previous week.

During the same period, 30,696 tests were performed and 30 deaths were recorded.

Last week, 565 people received their first dose of the anti-COVID vaccine, and 2,218 received their third dose. In total, so far 1,069,929 people have been vaccinated with the full schedule.

Starting July, citizens can administer their Booster 2 dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. At the same time, it is possible to immunize children who have reached the age of 12.

Specialists also recommend the population to wear a protective mask in crowded public spaces and on public transport. At the same time, wearing it is mandatory in medical institutions.
