Hârbovăţ high school modernized with Japan's support

Chisinau, 1 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Katayama Yoshihiro participated today in the solemn event at Ion Creangă Theoretical High School in Hârbovăț village, Anenii Noi district.
Katayama Yoshihiro together with pupils, teachers, parents and representatives of the local authorities marked the completion of the project to modernize the sanitary conditions in the educational institution. It was funded by the Government of Japan through the Kusanone program.
"The value of the grant was about 90 thousand dollars. The money was invested in the repair of the sanitary blocks; renovation of changing rooms and shower cabins; installation of a domestic water treatment plant; rehabilitation of the sewerage and aqueduct network; renovation works in the kitchen and canteen, etc.", the Embassy of Japan in Chisinau said.
The Kusanone program was launched in the Republic of Moldova in 2008, and so far Japan has provided non-reimbursable financing of about 6.7 million dollars for 79 development projects aimed at improving the well-being of society and human security.
