Chisinau, 2 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) found several non-conformities following controls in the food products sector of animal and non-animal origin, carried out on 25-30 August 2022.
According to the institution, as a result of the non-conformities, the following steps were taken: restricting and prohibiting the introduction to the market of several batches of apricots and dried plums, confectionery products, grapes, dairy products, chicken meat; destruction of a batch of imported melons; conditional use of a batch of milk powder as an ingredient for animal feed; the destruction of a batch of more than 30,000 hen eggs (the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis in faeces).
In this context, the Agency comes with the recommendation to procure food products only from places authorized/registered by ANSA. "Traders must have documents confirming the quality and harmlessness of the food products they sell and, upon request, they can present them to the consumer. If non-compliant food products or deviations from the provisions of consumer protection legislation are detected, citizens are encouraged to submit a petition to [email protected] or to notify at phone number: 0(22) 26 46 43; Green Line: 0 800 800 33; Viber: 067675544", said the National Agency for Food Safety.
