Moldovan canoeists won two bronze medals at U18, U23 World Championship

Chisinau, 3 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Canoeist Mihai Chihaia won the bronze medal yesterday at the Under 23 World Championship in Hungary.
According to the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOS), he recorded the result of 3:54.10 on the distance of 1000 meters, being surpassed by the Hungarian Adolf Balazs (3:50.32) and the Italian Gabriele Casadei (3:53.40).
The first to win the bronze medal at the World Championships in Hungary was Mihai Culceac. The canoeist from Bălți competed in Under 18 and registered the result of 3:57.63 over the distance of 1000 meters, being surpassed by the German David Toepel (3:56.15) and the Polish Damian Sieradzan (3:56.98).
