First screening of CARBON movie to take place at National Palace from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 3 October /MOLDPRES/ - The first screening of the CARBON movie, directed by Ion Bors, will take place at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace on 4 October starting from 18:30.
According to the organizers, the CARBON film, the action of which takes place in Moldova in 1992, in the immediate neighbourhood of the ‘’hot’’ areas of the Transnistrian conflict, tells the story of a young tractor driver, Dima, who starts an absurd adventure, full of clumsy situations, in which the hero faces the indifference, the rush toward profit and the foolishness of the people around him. Dima learns from this entire story “to be man!’’, a lesson which eventually manages to change his life.
The shootings of the movie lasted 36 days and took place on the period August-October 2020.
The film was submitted by the selection committee from Moldova for the Oscar Awards 2023, at The Best Foreign Film category. The world premiere of the film took place at the International Film Festival from San Sebastian, Spain.
