Chisinau, Oct. 7 /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law on ratification of the Agreement in the social security between the Republic of Moldova and the Kingdom of Spain were published in the Official Journal today.

The agreement concerns Moldovan citizens who have worked in Spain, as well as Spanish citizens who have been employed in our country. These are employees, self-employed or seconded workers, staff of international transport companies, diplomatic missions or consular offices. Beneficiaries will be able to receive pensions for age limit, pensions and allowances for general disability or caused as a result of work accidents or occupational diseases, as well as survivor's pensions.

The value of the pensions will be calculated proportionally, by each state, depending on the period of insurance carried out in its own territory.

So far, Moldova has concluded similar agreements with 16 states, and 14 of them are in force.
