Acting Prosecutor General of Moldova introduced to staff

Chisinau, 12 October /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prosecutor General Ion Munteanu was introduced to staff today. The event took place, after the presidential decree on the appointment of Ion Munteanu to officer had been issued.

The new prosecutor general was introduced to the corps of prosecutors by the head of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP), Angela Motuzoc. Attending the meeting were also the CSP members, as well as prosecutors from various subdivisions of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

At a meeting on 11 October, the Superior Council of Prosecutors ruled to put forward the candidacy of a prosecutor of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA), Ion Munteanu, to the president of Moldova for the holding of the office of acting Prosecutor General. Dumitru Robu has earlier held the position of acting prosecutor general.
